Grading

Part 1 - 30 Percent
  • 40 points - 10 terms with 3 definitions each.
    • 4 points for each definition
      • 1 point for each copied definition
      • 2 Points for each original definition.
  • 20 points - Summary of each investment option - 4 points for each option.
  • 40 Points - 10 additional terms with 3 definitions each.
    • 4 points for each definition
      • 1 point for each copied definition
      • 2 Points for each original definition.

Part 2 - 30 Percent

  • 20 points - for formatting and organization of information in the spreadsheet.
    • 10 points - for labeling columns and rows
    • 5 points - for presentation and organization
    • 5 points - for listing source of each investment option
  • 16 points for each investment option
    • 10 points - Value is given for each of ten years.
      •  Final value must be highlighted for each option
    • 5 points - Formulas need to be used and are correct  for each option 
      • Cell names must be used when appropriate.

Part 3 - 40 percent

  • 10 points - Participation in the presentation and general knowledge of the contents.
  • 10 points - A slide with 3 new investment terms from your list with your own definitions.
  • 60 Points - One slide for each investment option. Each slide needs:
    • 4 points - A description, rates and equations for each investment option.
    • 4 points -A graph of the values over ten years.
    • 4 points -A table of values over ten years
  • 10 points - A slide showing a graph of all 5 investment options together.
  • 10 Points - One or more slides detailing which option you found to be the best over 10 years and why?  Explain why you think it is the best option and if this is what your group would have done with the money.
