Grading Policy For Mr. Grimley's Eighth Grade Algebra

Grades will be determined by tests, projects, quizzes, and homework.
60 % Tests and Projects
Tests and projects will be graded on a scale of 0-100 Approximately 2-4 tests will be given each marking period. Students are allowed to retake each test once, to try to improve their grade. The grade obtained on the retest (higher or lower) will be counted for the test grade. There will be 1 project per marking period.
25 % Quizzes
Quizzes will be graded on a scale of 0-100 Quizzes will be given quite frequently. Notebook quizzes will count as one quiz grade.
15 % Homework/Behavior
Homework will be graded from 0 to 5. 5 is a perfect score. The HW grade will consist of the average of the HW assignments. Each student will receive 20 points at the beginning of each marking period.
Grade Ranges A = 93-100, B = 85-92, C = 77-84, D = 70-76, F = 0-69
